Hadith 1432
1432 صحيح حديث أَبِي سَعِيدِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: أَخِي يَشْتَكِي بَطْنَهُ فَقَالَ: اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً ثُمَّ أَتى الثَّانِيَةَ، فَقَالَ: اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الثَّالِثَةَ، فَقَالَ: اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ، فَقَالَ: فَعَلْتُ فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ اللهُ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ، اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً فَسَقَاهُ، فَبَرَأَ
Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "My brother is suffering from abdominal pain." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Make him drink honey." Then the same companion came again. The Prophet (peace be upon him) again told him to make his brother drink honey. He came a third time and said, "I have acted according to your instruction (but he has not been cured)." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah is truthful and your brother's stomach is lying. Make him drink honey again." So he made him drink honey again, and through that he was cured.
