The wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), came to meet the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan, when he was observing i'tikaf. She talked with him for a little while, then stood up to return. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also stood up to escort her. When they reached the door of the mosque near the door of Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), two men from the Ansar passed by and greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no need to worry, this is (my wife) Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her)." Both companions said: "Glory be to Allah! O Messenger of Allah!" This statement was hard for them to hear. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Satan flows through the human body like blood. I feared that he might cast some suspicion into your hearts."
