Hadith 1403
1403 صحيح حديث عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: إِيَّاكُمْ وَالدُّخُولَ عَلَى النِّسَاء فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، يَا رَسولَ اللهِ أَفَرَأَيْتَ الْحَمْوَ قَالَ: الحَمْوُ المَوْتُ
Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Avoid going to women." Upon this, a companion from the Ansar tribe asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about the brother-in-law? (Can he go to his brother's wife or not?)" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "The brother-in-law (or elder brother-in-law) going there is (like) destruction."
