Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a ring made of silver. That ring remained on his hand until his passing. After him, it was in the hand of Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), then in the hand of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and after that in the hand of Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). But during his time, it fell into the well of Aris. Its inscription was "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah."

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made and said, "We have had a ring made and the words (Muhammad Rasul Allah) are engraved on it, so no one should have this inscription engraved on their ring." Anas narrated that it is as if I can still see the shine of that ring on the little finger of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
