Hadith 1310
1310 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِذَا كَانَ جُنْحُ اللَّيْلِ، أَوْ أَمْسَيْتُمْ، فَكُفُّوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ تَنْتَشِرُ حِينَئِذٍ، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ سَاعَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَحُلُّوهُمْ وَأَغْلِقُوا الأَبْوَابَ وَاذْكرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لاَ يَفْتَحُ بَابًا مُغْلَقًا
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When the darkness of night begins, or (he said) when evening comes, keep your children close to you, for the devils spread out at that time. But when an hour of the night has passed, then let them go, and mention the name of Allah when closing the doors, for the devil cannot open a closed door.
Hadith 1311
1311 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: لاَ تَتْرُكُوا النَّارَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ حِينَ تَنَامُونَ
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you go to sleep, do not leave a fire burning in the house.
Hadith 1312
1312 صحيح حديث أَبِي مُوسى رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: احْتَرَقَ بَيْتٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَحُدِّثَ بِشَأْنِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: إِنَّ هذِهِ النَّارَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ، فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ
Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a house in Madinah Munawwarah caught fire at night. When this was mentioned to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "This fire is your enemy, so when you go to sleep, extinguish it."
