Hadith 1296
1296 صحيح حديث أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: لاَ تَنْتَبِذُوا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَلاَ فِي الْمُزَفَّتِ
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not prepare Nabidh (fermented drink) in Dubba' and Muzaffat."
Hadith 1297
1297 صحيح حديث عَلِيٍّ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: نَهى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also forbade the use of dubba’ and muzaffat (specific types of vessels in which wine is also made).
Hadith 1298
1298 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قُلْتُ لِلأَسْوَدِ: هَلْ سَأَلْتَ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَمَّا يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَمَّا نَهى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِيهِ قَالَتْ: نَهَانَا فِي ذَلِكَ، أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ، أَنْ نَنْتَبِذَ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ قُلْتُ: أَمَا ذَكَرَتِ الْجَرَّ وَالْحَنْتَمَ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا أُحَدِّثُكَ مَا سَمِعْتُ؛ أُحَدِّثُ مَا لَمْ أَسْمَعْ
Ibrahim Nakha'i narrated that I asked Aswad bin Yazid, "Did you ask Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about which vessel it is disliked to prepare nabidh (sweet date drink) in?" He said, "Yes, I asked, 'O Umm al-Mu'mineen! In which vessel did the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbid preparing nabidh?'" She said, "He forbade the household (Ahl al-Bayt) from soaking nabidh in gourds and varnished jars." (Ibrahim Nakha'i narrated that) I asked Aswad, "Did she not mention pitchers and green jars?" He said, "I am narrating to you only what I heard. Should I narrate to you what I did not hear?"
Hadith 1299
1299 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: وَأَنْهَاكُمْ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ والْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: And I forbid you from using gourds, hantam, naqir, and vessels coated with pitch.
Hadith 1300
1300 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرو، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَهى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْقِيَةِ، قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَيْسَ كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَجِدُ سِقَاءً فَرَخَّصَ لَهُمْ فِي الْجَرِّ غَيْرِ الْمُزَفَّتِ
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade soaking nabidh (date drink) in containers other than leather water bags, the people said to him, "O Messenger of Allah! Not everyone can find a leather water bag." At that time, he permitted soaking nabidh in a clay pot coated with pitch.
