Hadith 1291
1291 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: لاَ فَرَعَ وَلاَ عَتِيرَةَ وَالْفَرَعَ أَوَّلُ النِّتَاجِ كَانُوا يَذْبَحُونَهُ لَطَوَاغِيتِهِمْ
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (In Islam) there is no practice of Fara’ and ‘Atirah. "Fara’" was the first offspring (of a she-camel) which, in the days of ignorance, people used to slaughter for their idols, and "‘Atirah" was what they used to slaughter in the month of Rajab.
