Hadith 1252
1252 صحيح حديث أَنَسٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لاَ يَطْرُقُ أَهْلَهُ، كَانَ لاَ يَدْخلُ إِلاَّ غُدْوَةً أَوْ عَشِيَّةً
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not arrive home (from a journey) at night, but would arrive in the morning or at noon (at any time from after the decline of the sun until sunset).

Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that we were returning from a jihad with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When we were about to enter Madinah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Wait for a while and enter at night so that those with disheveled hair may comb it, and those whose husbands were not present may clean their hair.
