Hadith 1225
1225 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي أُضْمِرَتْ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ، وَأَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ، وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضْمَرْ مِنَ الثَّنيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ، وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ فِيمَنْ سَابَقَ بِهَا
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arranged a race for those horses that had been prepared (for jihad), from the place of Hafyaa, and the limit of this race was Thaniyyatul Wada’. And for those horses that had not yet been prepared, their race was from Thaniyyatul Wada’ to the mosque of Banu Zuraiq. Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) also participated in this horse race.
