Abu Uthman Nahdi and from him Mujashi' bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I took (my brother Abu Ma'bad, may Allah be pleased with him) to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to pledge allegiance to him for migration. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the reward for migration has ended along with those who migrated. However, I take his pledge for Islam and Jihad. Abu Uthman said that then I met Abu Ma'bad (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about this, so he said that Mujashi' (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated correctly.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: "Now migration (from Makkah to Madinah) is no longer required, but good intention and jihad remain. Therefore, when you are called for jihad, then go forth immediately."

Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about migration (that is, whether he should be permitted to migrate to Madinah). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Alas! Its status is indeed great. Do you have some camels for which you pay zakat? He said: Yes! Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then what is there (to worry about)? Keep performing deeds (wherever you are), even across the seas (in whichever country you reside), Allah will not diminish the reward of any of your deeds.
