Hadith 1217
1217 صحيح حديث سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى الْحَجَّاجِ، فَقَالَ: يَا ابْنَ الأَكْوَعِ ارْتَدَدْتَ عَلَى عَقِبَيْكَ، تَعَرَّبْتَ قَالَ: لاَ، وَلكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذِنَ لِي فِي الْبَدْو
Hazrat Salamah bin Al-Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Hajjaj. So he (Hajjaj) said, “O son of Al-Akwa’! Have you started living in the village? Have you turned back on your heels?” He replied, “No, rather the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had given me permission to live in the wilderness.”
