Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us on the occasion of the Battle of Hudaybiyyah: "You are the best among all the people of the earth." Our number at that time was fourteen hundred. If I had eyesight today, I would show you the place of that tree (where the pledge of Ridwan took place).

Hadith 1214
1214 صحيح حديث الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ حَزْنٍ، قَالَ: لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ الشَّجَرَة، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتهَا بَعْدُ فَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهَا
Hazrat Musayyib bin Hazn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I had seen that tree, but later when I came again, I could not recognize it.

Yazid bin Abi Ubaid narrated: I asked Salama bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him), “On what did you people pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at the time of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah?” He replied, “On death.”

Hazrat Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that during the time of the battle of Harrah, a person came to him and said that Abdullah bin Hanzalah is taking an oath of allegiance (bay'ah) from the people unto death (against Yazid). So he said, "After the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I will not pledge allegiance unto death to anyone."
