Hadith 1166
1166 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: دَخَلَ النَبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ، وَحَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ ثَلاَثُمِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ نُصُبًا، فَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُهَا بِعُودٍ فِي يَدِهِ، وَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ: (جَاء الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ) الآيَةَ
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah (on the day of the conquest of Makkah), there were three hundred and sixty idols around the Ka'bah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) had a stick in his hand, with which he began striking those idols and saying, "Truth has come and falsehood has perished."
