Hadith 1139
1139 صحيح حديث الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ، قَالَ: مَرَّ بِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالأَبْوَاءِ أَوْ بِوَدَّانَ، وَسُئِلَ عَنْ أَهْلِ الدَّارِ يُبَيَّتُونَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فيُصَابُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ وَذَرَارِيِّهِمْ قَالَ: هُمْ مِنْهُمْ
Hazrat Sa'b bin Jathamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me at the place of Abwa or Waddan. He was asked whether it was permissible to kill the women and children of the polytheists when a raid is carried out against their tribe at night. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "They are from among them."
