Hadith 1102
1102 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَنَادَاهُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، حتَّى رَدَّدَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ؛ فَلَمَّا شَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ دَعَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: أَبِكَ جُنُونٌ قَالَ: لاَ قَالَ: فَهَلْ أَحْصَنْتَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ رَجَمَهُ، فَرَجَمْنَاهُ بِالْمُصَلَّى؛ فَلَمَّا أَذْلَقَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ هَرَبَ، فَأَدْرَكْنَاهُ بِالْحَرَّةِ، فَرَجَمْنَاهُ
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man, Ma'iz bin Malik Aslami, came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was in the mosque. He called out to him and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have committed adultery. The Prophet (peace be upon him) turned his face away from him. He repeated this statement four times. When he had testified against himself four times regarding this sin, the Prophet (peace be upon him) called him and asked: Are you insane? He replied: No. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Are you married? He replied: Yes. Upon this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Take him away and stone him. Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was among those who stoned him. We stoned him outside the settlement near the Eid ground. When stones struck him, he ran away, but we caught him near Harrah and stoned him to death.
Hadith 1103
1103 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالاَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: أَنْشُدُكَ اللهَ إِلاَّ قَضَيْتَ بَيْنَنَا بِكِتَابِ اللهِ؛ فَقَامَ خَصْمُهُ، وَكَانَ أَفْقَهَ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ، اقْضِ بَيْنَنَا بِكِتَابِ اللهِ، وَأْذَنْ لِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قُلْ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ ابْنِي كَانَ عَسِيفًا فِي أَهْلِ هذَا، فَزَنَى بِامْرَأَتِهِ، فَافْتَدَيْتُ مِنْهُ بِمِائَةِ شَاةٍ وَخَادِمٍ؛ وَإِنِّي سَأَلْتُ رِجَالاً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ فَأَخْبَرُونِي أَنَّ عَلَى ابْنِي جَلْدَ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبَ عَامٍ، وَأَنَّ عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هذَا الرَجْمَ؛ فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لأَقْضِيَنَّ بَيْنَكُمَا بِكِتَابِ اللهِ: الْمِائَةَ وَالْخَادِمُ رَدٌّ عَلَيْكَ، وَعَلَى ابْنِكَ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبُ عَامٍ؛ وَيَا أُنَيْسُ اغْدُ عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هذَا فَسَلْهَا، فَإِنِ اعْتَرَفَتْ فَارْجُمْهَا فَاعْتَرَفَتْ، فَرَجَمَهَا
Hazrat Abu Hurairah and Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I ask you by Allah to judge between us according to the Book of Allah." At this, the opposing party stood up—he was more intelligent—and said, "He has spoken the truth, judge between us according to the Book of Allah, and O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to speak." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Speak." He said, "My son was working for these people, then he committed adultery with their wife. I gave one hundred sheep and a servant as compensation. Then I asked the people of knowledge, and they told me that my son should be given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year, and their wife should be stoned." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul! I will judge between you according to the Book of Allah. The one hundred sheep and the servant will be returned to you, and your son will be given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year. And O Anas! Go to this man's wife in the morning and if she confesses to adultery, then stone her." The woman confessed and she was stoned.
