Hadith 1094
1094 صحيح حديث أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: الزَّمَانُ قَدِ اسْتَدَارَ كَهَيْئَةِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّموَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ، السَّنَةُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا؛ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ، ثَلاَثَةٌ مُتَوَالِيَاتٌ: ذو الْقَعْدَةِ وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ وَالْمُحَرَّمُ، وَرَجَبُ مَضَرَ، الَّذِي بَيْنَ جُمَادَى وَشَعْبَانَ؛ أَيُّ شَهْرٍ هذَا قُلْنَا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ فَسَكَتَ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ بِغَيْرِ اسْمِهِ، قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ ذُو الْحِجَّةِ قُلْنَا: بَلَى قَالَ: فَأَيُّ بَلَدٍ هذَا قُلْنَا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ فَسَكَتَ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ بِغَيْرِ اسْمِهِ، قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ الْبَلْدَةَ قُلْنَا: بَلَى قَالَ: فَأَيُّ يَوْمٍ هذَا قُلْنَا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ فَسَكَتَ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ سَيُسَمِّيهِ بِغيْرِ اسْمِهِ قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قُلْنَا: بَلَى قَالَ: فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ (أَحَدُ رِجَالِ السَّنَدِ) وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ: وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هذَا في شَهْرِكُمْ هذَا؛ وَسَتَلْقَوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ فَسَيَسْأَلُكُمْ عَنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ، أَلاَ فَلاَ تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي ضُلاَّلاً يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ، أَلاَ لِيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ، فَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَ مَنْ يُبَلَّغُهُ أَنْ يُكُونَ أَوْعَى لَهُ مِنْ بَعْضِ مَن سَمِعهُ فَكَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ إِذَا ذَكَرَهُ يَقُولُ: صَدَقَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَلاَ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ مَرَّتَيْنِ
Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Time has come back to its original state, as it was on the day Allah created the heavens and the earth. Behold! The year consists of twelve months, of which four are sacred. Three of them are consecutive: Dhu al-Qa'dah, Dhu al-Hijjah, and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar, which comes between Jumada (al-Ula) and Sha'ban." (Then he asked:) "What month is this?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." So he remained silent, and we thought that he would give it another name besides its well-known name. But he said: "Is it not Dhu al-Hijjah?" We said: "Yes, indeed." Then he asked: "What city is this?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." Again, he remained silent, and we thought he would give it another name besides its well-known name. But he said: "Is it not Makkah?" We said: "Yes, indeed (it is Makkah)." Then he asked: "And what day is this?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." Again, he remained silent, and we thought he would give it another name besides its well-known name. But he said: "Is it not the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr)?" We said: "Yes, indeed." After that, he said: "So your blood, your wealth," (Muhammad, one of the narrators, said: "I think Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) also said: 'and your honor'") "are sacred to you as this day of yours, in this city of yours, in this month of yours. And soon you will meet your Lord, and He will ask you about your deeds. So do not turn back after me as disbelievers, striking the necks of one another. Let those who are present convey (this message) to those who are absent, for it may be that the one to whom it is conveyed will remember it better than some of those who have heard it." Whenever Muhammad ibn Sirin mentioned this hadith, he would say: "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Have I conveyed (the message)?" He said this phrase twice.
