Hadith 1062
1062 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: نَهى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ النَّذْرِ، قَالَ: إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا، وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيل
Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade making vows and said that vows do not bring anything back; vows only extract wealth from a miserly person’s heart.
Hadith 1063
1063 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لاَ يَأْتِي ابْنَ آدَمَ النَّذْرُ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ قُدِّرَ لَهُ، وَلكِنْ يُلْقِيهِ النَّذْرُ إِلَى الْقَدَرِ قَدْ قُدِّرَ لَهُ، فَيَسْتَخْرِجُ اللهُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ، فَيُؤْتِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ يُؤْتِي عَلَيْهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A vow does not give a person anything that is not already destined for him, rather, a vow brings a person closer to what is destined for him. However, through it, Allah extracts wealth from the miser, and in this way, he gives charity of things which could not have been expected from him before.
