Hadith 1018
1018 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ، عَامَ الْفَتْحِ، وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ: إِنَّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ حَرَّمَ بَيْعَ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْتَةِ وَالْخِنْزِيرِ وَالأَصْنَامِ فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ شُحُومَ الْمَيْتَةِ فَإِنَّهَا يُطْلَى بِهَا السُّفُنُ، وَيُدْهَنُ بِهَا الْجُلُودُ، وَيَسْتَصْبِحُ بِهَا النَّاسُ فَقَالَ: لاَ، هُوَ حَرَامٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عِنْدَ ذلِكَ: قَاتَلَ اللهُ الْيهُودَ، إِنَّ اللهَ لَمَّا حَرَّمَ شُحُومَهَا جَمَلُوهُ ثُمَّ بَاعُوهُ فَأَكَلُوا ثَمَنَهُ
Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the year of the conquest of Makkah, while he was still staying in Makkah, say that Allah and His Messenger have declared the selling of alcohol, dead animals, swine, and idols to be forbidden. Upon this, it was asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the ruling regarding the fat of dead animals? We use it to coat our boats, we use it as oil on hides, and people also use it to light their lamps." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "No, it is forbidden." On this occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said, "May Allah destroy the Jews! When Allah made fat forbidden for them, they melted it, sold it, and consumed its price."
Hadith 1019
1019 صحيح حديث عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: بَلَغَ عُمَرَ أَنَّ فُلاَنًا بَاعَ خَمْرًا فَقَالَ: قَاتَلَ اللهُ فُلاَنًا، أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: قَاتَلَ اللهُ الْيَهُودَ، حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ فَجَمَلُوهَا فَبَاعُوهَا
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to know that a certain person had sold wine. He said, "May Allah destroy and ruin him. Does he not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'May Allah destroy the Jews; fat was made unlawful for them, but they melted it and sold it.'"
Hadith 1020
1020 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: قَاتَلَ اللهُ يَهُودَ، حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الشُّحُومُ فَبَاعُوهَا وَأَكَلُوا أَثْمَانَهَا
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah destroy the Jews; fat was made unlawful for the wrongdoers among them, but they sold it and consumed its price.
