Hadith 1003
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) heard the voices of two people disputing at the door, and their voices had become loud. The incident was that one man was asking the other to reduce some of the debt and to show some leniency in demanding it, while the other said, "By Allah! I will not do this." Eventually, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went to them and said, "Where is the one who swore by Allah that he would not do a good deed?" That companion replied, "I am the one, O Messenger of Allah! Now, whatever my brother wishes, I also like the same."

Hadith 1004
Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) demanded his debt from Abdullah bin Abi Hadrad in the Prophet's Mosque, and their conversation became loud. So much so that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard it from his chamber. He (peace be upon him) lifted the curtain and came out, and called: "O Ka'b!" Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah! Please command, what do you order?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Reduce some of your debt." His (peace be upon him) gesture was that he should reduce it by half. He (Ka'b) said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have (willingly) done so." Then he (peace be upon him) said to Ibn Abi Hadrad, "Now get up and pay his debt (the half that has not been forgiven)."
