Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling fruits before they reach “zuhw.” He was asked, “What is ‘zuhw’?” He replied, “When they become red.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Tell me, if by Allah’s command some calamity befalls the fruits, then for what reason would you take your brother’s wealth?”
