Hadith 927
927 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: حَضَرْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جَنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِسَرِفَ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: هذِهِ زَوْجَةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَإِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ نَعْشَهَا فَلاَ تُزَعْزِعُوهَا وَلاَ تُزَلْزِلُوهَا، وَارْفُقُوا، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِسْعٌ، كَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ، وَلاَ يَقْسِمُ لِوَاحِدَةٍ
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I was present with Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) at the funeral of Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas said that she is the purified wife of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When you lift her funeral bier, do not move it forcefully, rather carry it gently and softly. At the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passing, there were nine wives in his marriage. For eight of them, he had fixed turns, but for one, there was no turn.
