Hadith 913
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that we went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for the battle of Banu Mustaliq. In this battle, we captured some Arab prisoners (among whom were women as well). During this journey, we felt desire for women and it became difficult for us to remain without them. On the other hand, we wanted to practice coitus interruptus (out of fear that a child might be born). Our intention was to practice coitus interruptus, but then we thought that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present, and it would not be appropriate to do so without asking him. So, we asked him about it, and he said: “If you do not practice coitus interruptus, there is no harm, because every soul that is to be born until the Day of Resurrection will surely be born.”

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that (in one battle) we captured some women as prisoners and we practiced coitus interruptus with them. Then we asked Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) about its ruling. Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you really do that?" He repeated this three times. (Then he said,) "Every soul that is to be born until the Day of Resurrection will be born (at its appointed time), so your practice of coitus interruptus is futile."
