Hadith 906
906 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: إِذَا دُعِي أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any one of you is invited to a wedding feast, he should attend.
Hadith 907
907 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْوَلِيمَةِ، يُدْعَى لَهَا الأَغْنِيَاءُ وَيُتْرَكُ الْفُقَرَاءُ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الدَّعْوَةَ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the food of the wedding banquet (walimah) is the worst food in which only the rich are specially invited and the needy are not fed, and whoever refuses the invitation to the walimah has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.
