Hadith 887
887 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَيْسَ مَعَنَا نِسَاءٌ، فَقُلْنَا: أَلاَ نَخْتَصِي فَنَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَرَخَّصَ لَنَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَنْ نَتَزَوَّجَ الْمَرْأَةَ بِالثَّوْبِ؛ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ (يأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تُحَرِّمُوا طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللهُ لَكُمْ)
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that we used to go out for jihad with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and our wives were not with us. So we said, "Why don't we castrate ourselves?" But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from doing so, and then he permitted us to marry a woman for a garment (or anything else) as a dowry. Then Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this verse: "O you who believe! Do not make unlawful the good things which Allah has made lawful for you." (Al-Ma'idah 87)
Hadith 888
888 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، وَسَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ قَالاَ: كُنَّا فِي جَيْشٍ، فَأَتَانَا رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُذِنَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَسْتَمْتِعُوا، فَاسْتَمْتِعُوا
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari and Sayyiduna Salamah bin Al-Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that we were in an army, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us and said: You have been permitted to practice Mut’ah, so you may contract Mut’ah marriage.
Hadith 889
889 صحيح حديث عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رضي الله عنه، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَهى عَنْ مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ، وَعَنْ أَكْلِ الْحُمُرِ الإِنْسِيَّةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade temporary marriage with women and eating the meat of domestic donkeys.
