Narrated Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): Al-Fadl bin Abbas was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during the Farewell Pilgrimage when a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came. Al-Fadl began to look at her and she was looking at him, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kept turning Al-Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, "O Messenger of Allah! The obligation of Hajj imposed by Allah has become due on my father, but he is very old and cannot sit firmly on a camel. Can I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes." This incident took place during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
