Hadith 797
797 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: مَا تَرَكْتُ اسْتِلاَمَ هذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ فِي شِدَّةٍ وَلاَ رَخَاءٍ مُنْذ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَلِمُهُمَا
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: Ever since I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kissing these two Yemeni corners, I have never abandoned kissing them, whether in difficult circumstances or ease.
Hadith 798
798 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَمَنْ يَتَّقِي شَيْئًا مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَكَانَ مُعَاوِيَةُ يَسْتَلِمُ الأرْكَانَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، إِنَّهُ لاَ يُسْتَلَمُ هذَانِ الرُّكْنَانِ
Abu Al-Sha’tha said: Who can refrain from (touching) any part of the House of Allah? And Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to touch all four corners. Upon this, Hazrat Ibn Abbas said to him: We do not touch these two corners (the Syrian and the Iraqi).
