Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would come to Madinah by the route of Mu'arras while passing through the way of Shajarah. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) would go to Makkah, he would pray in the mosque of Shajarah, but on the return journey, he would pray in the lower part of Dhul-Hulaifah. He would spend the night there until morning came.

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would enter Makkah from the high pass (i.e., Jannat al-Mu'alla) and exit from the lower pass.

789 صحيح حديث عَائَشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لَمَّا جَاءَ مَكَّةَ دَخَلَ مِنْ أَعْلاَهَا وَخَرَجَ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah, he entered the city from the upper elevated side, and when he departed from (Makkah), he left from the lower side.

Narrated by Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the city from the direction of Kada’ on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah and exited from the direction of Kadi, which is the elevated side of Makkah.
