Hadith 781
781 صحيح حديث أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ رضي الله عنه، عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِنَ الْيَمَنِ، فَقَالَ: بِمَا أَهْلَلْتَ قَالَ: بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: لَوْلاَ أَنَّ مَعِي الْهدْيَ لأَحْلَلْتُ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from Yemen. The Prophet asked, "What kind of Ihram have you assumed?" He replied, "The same kind as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has assumed." Upon this, the Prophet said, "If I did not have the sacrificial animal with me, I would have come out of the state of Ihram."
