755 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ [ص:38] فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فَأَهْلَلْنَا بِعُمْرَةٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ فَلْيُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ مَعَ الْعُمْرَةِ، ثُمَّ لاَ يَحِلَّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ مِنْهُمَا جَميعًا فَقَدِمْتُ مَكَّةَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ، وَلَمْ أَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلاَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، فَشَكَوْتُ ذلِكَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: انْقُضِى رَأْسَكِ، وَامْتَشِطِى وَأَهِلِّى بِالْحَجِّ وَدَعِي الْعُمْرَةَ فَفَعَلْتُ فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا الْحَجَّ أَرْسَلَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ، فَاعْتَمَرْتُ فَقَالَ: هذِهِ مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِكِ قَالَتْ: فَطَافَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا أَهَلُّوا بِالْعُمْرَةِ بِالبَيْتِ وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالمَرْوَةِ، ثُمَّ حَلُّوا، ثُمَّ طَافُوا طَوافًا وَاحِدًا بَعْدَ أَنْ رَجَعُوا مِنْ مِنًى وَأَمَّا الَّذيِنَ جَمَعُوا الْحَجَّ وَالعُمْرَةَ فَإِنَّمَا طَافُوا طَوافًا وَاحِدًا
The purified wife of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him), Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrated that we set out with the Prophet (peace be upon him) for the Farewell Pilgrimage. First, we put on the Ihram for Umrah, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should put on the Ihram for both Hajj and Umrah together. Such a person cannot become halal (come out of Ihram) in between, rather he will become halal from both Hajj and Umrah together. I also came to Makkah, and at that time I began menstruating, so I could neither perform the Tawaf of the House (Ka'bah) nor the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah. I complained about this to the Prophet (peace be upon him), so he said: "Undo your hair, comb it, and leave the Umrah, and put on the Ihram for Hajj." So I did as he instructed. Then, when we had completed Hajj, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent me with my brother Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr to Tan'eem. There, I put on the Ihram for Umrah (and performed Umrah). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "This is in place of the Umrah you left (i.e., could not perform)." Lady Aisha narrated that those people who had put on the Ihram only for Umrah (during the Farewell Pilgrimage) became halal after performing the Tawaf of the House and the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and then after returning from Mina, they performed the second Tawaf (i.e., Tawaf al-Ziyarah). But those who had put on the Ihram for both Hajj and Umrah together performed only one Tawaf, i.e., Tawaf al-Ziyarah.

756 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ، وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ، فَقَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ أَحْرَمَ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ يُهْدِ فَلْيُحْلِلْ، وَمَنْ أَحْرَمَ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَأَهْدَى فَلاَ يَحِلُّ حَتَّى يَحِلَّ بِنَحْرِ هَدْيِهِ، وَمَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ فَلْيُتِمَّ حَجَّهُ قالَتْ: فَحِضْتُ فَلَمْ أَزَلْ حَائِضًا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَلَمْ أُهْلِلْ إِلاَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ، فَأَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَنْقُضَ رَأْسِي وَأَمْتَشِطَ وَأُهِلَّ بِحَجٍّ، وَأَتْرُكَ الْعُمْرَةَ، فَفَعَلْتُ ذلِكَ حَتَّى قَضَيْتُ حَجِّى؛ فَبَعَثَ مَعِي عَبْدَ الرَّحْمنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَعْتَمِرَ، مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِي، مِنَ التَّنْعِيمِ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that we set out with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on the journey of the Farewell Pilgrimage. Some of us assumed Ihram for Umrah and some for Hajj. Then we reached Mecca, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Whoever has assumed Ihram for Umrah and has not brought a sacrificial animal with him should come out of Ihram, and whoever has assumed Ihram for Umrah and has brought a sacrificial animal with him should not come out of Ihram before offering the sacrifice. And whoever has assumed Ihram for Hajj should complete his Hajj. Lady Aisha said: I became menstruating and the day of Arafah arrived. I had assumed Ihram only for Umrah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed me to undo my hair, comb it, assume Ihram for Hajj, and leave Umrah. I did so and completed my Hajj. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr with me and instructed me to perform another Umrah from Tan’eem in place of the Umrah I had missed.

757 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَرَجْنَا لاَ نَرَى إِلاَّ الْحَجَّ، فَلَمَّا كُنَّا بِسَرِفَ حِضْتُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي، قَالَ: مَا لَكِ، أَنُفِسْتِ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: إِنَّ هذَا أَمْرٌ كَتَبَهُ اللهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ فَاقْضِى مَا يَقْضِى الْحَاجُّ غَيْرَ أَنْ لاَ تَطُوفِي بِالْبَيْتِ قَالَتْ: وَضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نِسَائِهِ بِالْبَقَرِ
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We set out with the intention of Hajj. When we reached the place of Sarif, I began menstruating and started crying out of distress. During this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came and asked, "What has happened to you? Have you started menstruating?" I said, "Yes." He said: "This is a thing which Allah has ordained for the daughters of Adam. So you should also perform all the rites of Hajj, except do not perform the Tawaf of the House (Ka'bah)." Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered a cow as a sacrifice on behalf of his wives.

758 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَرَجْنَا مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فِي أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ وَحُرُمِ الْحَجِّ، فَنَزَلْنَا سَرِفَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ َلاصْحَابِهِ: مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْىٌ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً فَلْيَفْعَلْ، وَمَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلاَ وَكَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ذَوِي قُوَّةٍ الْهَدْىُ، فَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُمْ عُمْرَةً، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي، فَقَالَ: مَا يُبْكِيكِ قُلْتُ: سَمِعْتُكَ تَقُولُ َلأصْحَابِكَ مَا قُلْتَ فَمُنِعْتُ الْعُمْرَةَ، قَالَ: وَمَا شَأْنُكِ قُلْتُ: لاَ أُصَلِّي قَالَ: فَلاَ يَضُرَّكِ، أَنْتِ مِنْ بَنَاتِ آدَمَ، كُتِبَ عَلَيْكِ مَا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِنَّ، فَكُونِي فِي حَجَّتِكِ، عَسى اللهُ أَنْ يَرْزُقَكِهَا قَالَتْ: فَكُنْتُ، حَتَّى نَفَرْنَا مِنْ مِنًى، فَنَزَلْنَا الْمُحَصَّبَ، فَدَعَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمنِ، فَقَالَ: اخْرُجْ بِأخْتِكَ الْحَرَمَ، فَلْتَهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ، ثُمَّ افْرُغَا مِنْ طَوَافِكمَا أَنْتَظِرْكُمَا ههُنَا فَأَتَيْنَا فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ: فَرَغْتُمَا قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ فَنَادَى بِالرَّحِيلِ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ، فَارْتَحَلَ النَّاسُ وَمَنْ طَافَ بِاللَّيْلِ قَبْلَ صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ مُوَجِّهًا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that during the months and etiquettes of Hajj, we set out from Madinah in the state of Ihram for Hajj and camped at the place of Sarif. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to his companions: Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him and wishes to change his Ihram of Hajj to that of Umrah, he may do so. But whoever has a sacrificial animal with him cannot do so. The Prophet (peace be upon him) and some of those who were able among his companions had sacrificial animals with them, so their Ihram was not only for Umrah. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to me and I was crying. He asked, "Why are you crying?" I said, "I am hearing what you have said to your companions. Now my Umrah is done." He asked, "What happened?" I said, "I cannot pray (because of menstruation)." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "There is no harm. You are one of the daughters of Adam, and what has been decreed for all of them has been decreed for you as well. Now enter into Ihram for Hajj. Perhaps Allah will grant you Umrah as well." (Sayyida Aisha narrated that I entered into Ihram for Hajj. Then, when we finished Hajj and came out of Mina and camped at Muhassab, the Prophet (peace be upon him) called Abdul Rahman and said to him, "Take your sister outside the boundary of the Haram (to Tan'eem) so that she may enter into Ihram for Umrah from there, then perform Tawaf and Sa'i. We will wait for you here." We reached the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the middle of the night. He asked, "Are you finished?" I said, "Yes." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then announced departure among his companions. Those who performed the farewell Tawaf of the House of Allah left before the morning prayer and set out towards Madinah.

759 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلاَ نُرَى إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا تَطَوَّفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ، فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ سَاقَ الْهَدْىَ أَنْ يَحِلَّ، فَحَلَّ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ سَاقَ الْهَدْىَ وَنِسَاؤُهُ لَمْ يَسُقْنَ فَأَحْلَلْنَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ، فَحِضْتُ فَلَمْ أَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ، فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يَرْجِعُ النَّاسُ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجَّةٍ وَأَرْجِعُ أَنَا بِحَجَّةٍ قَالَ: وَمَا طُفْتِ لَيَالِيَ قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ قُلْتُ: لاَ قَالَ: فَاذْهَبِى مَعَ أَخِيكِ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ فَأَهِلِّى بِعُمْرَةٍ، ثُمَّ مَوْعِدُكِ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ: مَا أُرَانِي إِلاَّ حَابِسَتَهُمْ قَالَ: عَقْرَى حَلْقَى أَوَ مَا طُفْتِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَالَتْ، قُلْتُ: بَلَى قَالَ: لاَ بَأْسَ، انْفِرِى قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَلَقِيَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُصْعِدٌ مِنْ مَكَّةَ وَأَنَا مُنْهَبِطَةٌ عَلَيْهَا، أَوْ أَنَا مُصْعِدَةٌ وَهُوَ مُنْهَبِطٌ مِنْهَا
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for Hajj, and our intention was nothing but Hajj. When we reached Mecca, (other people) performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that whoever had not brought a sacrificial animal with him should come out of the state of Ihram. So those who did not have a sacrificial animal became halal (came out of Ihram after performing the acts of Umrah). The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had not brought sacrificial animals, so they also opened their Ihram. Lady Aisha said that I became menstruating, so I could not perform the Tawaf of the House of Allah (i.e., Umrah was missed and I continued with Hajj). When the night of Muhassab came, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, other people are returning after performing both Hajj and Umrah, but I could only perform Hajj." Upon this, he asked, "Did you not perform Tawaf when we came to Mecca?" I said, "No." He said, "Go with your brother to Tan'eem and enter into Ihram for Umrah from there (then perform Umrah). We will wait for you at such and such place." And Lady Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) had said, "It seems I will also become a cause of delay for you people." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Did you shave your head? Did you not perform the Tawaf of the Day of Sacrifice?" She said, "Why not, I have performed the Tawaf." He said, "Then there is no harm, move on." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "Then I met the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was ascending the upper part (of the path) leaving Mecca, and I was descending, or she said, I was ascending and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was descending after ascending."

760 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُرْدِفَ عَائِشَةَ وَيُعْمِرَهَا مِنَ التَّنْعِيمِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to take Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) with him on a mount and to perform ‘Umrah for her from Taneem.

761 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ؛ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، فِي أُنَاسٍ مَعَهُ، قَالَ: أَهْلَلْنَا، أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَجِّ خَالِصًا لَيْسَ مَعَهُ عُمْرَةٌ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَقَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُبْحَ رَابِعَةٍ مَضَتْ مِنْ ذِي الْحَجَّةِ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا أَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَحِلَّ، وَقَالَ: أَحِلُّوا وَأَصِيبُوا مِنَ النِّسَاءَ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ وَلَمْ يَعْزِمْ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَلكِنْ أَحَلَّهُنَّ لَهُمْ؛ فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّا نَقُولُ: لَمَّا لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ عَرَفَةَ إِلاَّ خَمْسٌ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَحِلَّ إِلَى نِسَائِنَا، فَنَأْتِي عَرَفَةَ تَقْطُر مَذَاكِيرُنَا الْمَذْيَ قَالَ، وَيَقُولَ جَابِرٌ، بِيَدِهِ هكَذَا، وَحَرَّكَهَا؛ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ أَنِّي أَتْقَاكُمْ للهِ وَأَصْدَقُكُمْ وَأَبَرُّكُمْ، وَلَوْلاَ هَدْيِي لَحَلَلْتُ كَمَا تَحِلُّونَ، فَحِلُّوا فَلَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِى مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا أَهْدَيْتُ فَحَلَلْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا
Ata reported that Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came on the morning of the 4th of Dhul-Hijjah, and when we were also present, he ordered us to come out of the state of ihram. And he said: "Come out of ihram and go to your wives." Ata reported that Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not make this obligatory upon them, but only permitted it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) learned that "among us it is being discussed that only five days remain to reach Arafah, and yet the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has ordered us to go to our women. Should we go to Arafat in such a state that madhi or semen is dripping from our private parts?" Ata said that Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) gestured with his hand as if madhi was dripping in this way. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and said: "Do you know that I am the most God-fearing among you, the most truthful among you, and the most righteous among you? If I did not have the hady (sacrificial animal) with me, I would also come out of ihram. So you too come out of ihram. If I had known beforehand what I came to know later, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me." Thus, we came out of ihram, and we heard and obeyed the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

762 صحيح حديث جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِيًّا أَنْ يُقِيمَ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَقَدِمَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رضي الله عنه بِسِعَايَتِهِ، قَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ قَالَ: بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: فَأَهْدِ وَامْكُثْ حَرَامًا كَمَا أَنْتَ قَالَ، وَأَهْدَى لَهُ عَلِيٌّ هَدْيًا
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) (when he came from Yemen to Makkah) that he should remain in his state of Ihram. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came from his governorship (Yemen), the Prophet asked him, "Ali, how did you enter into Ihram?" He replied, "In the same way as you have entered into Ihram." The Prophet said, "Then send a sacrificial animal and act according to the way you have entered into Ihram." (Sayyiduna Jabir said) that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) brought sacrificial animals for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

763 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَهَلَّ وَأَصْحَابَهُ بِالْحَجِّ، وَلَيْسَ مَعَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ هَدْىٌ، غَيْرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَطَلْحَةَ وَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ قَدِمَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ وَمَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ، فَقَالَ: أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؛ وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذِنَ لأَصْحَابِهِ أَنْ يَجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً، يَطُوفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ، ثُمَّ يُقَصِّرُوا وَيَحِلُّوا، إِلاَّ مَنْ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ، فَقَالُوا نَنْطَلِقُ إِلَى مِنًى وَذَكَرُ أَحَدِنَا يَقْطُرُ فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ: لَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِى مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا أَهْدَيْتُ، وَلَوْلاَ أَنَّ مَعِي الْهَدْيَ لأَحْلَلْتُ وَأَنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَاضَتْ، فَنَسَكَتِ الْمَنَاسِكَ كُلَّهَا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ؛ قَالَ: فَلَمَّا طَهُرَتْ وَطَافَتْ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَنْطَلِقُونَ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجَّةٍ وَأَنْطَلِقُ بِالْحَجِّ فَأَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مَعَهَا إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ، فَاعْتَمَرَتْ بَعْدَ الْحَجِّ فِي ذِي الْحَجَّة وَأَنَّ سُرَاقَةَ بْنَ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ لَقِيَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِالْعَقَبَةِ وَهُوَ يَرْمِيهَا، فَقَالَ: أَلَكُمْ هذِهِ خَاصَّةً يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: لاَ، بَلْ لِلأَبَدِ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions assumed Ihram for Hajj, and no one had a sacrificial animal with him except the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Sayyiduna Talha (may Allah be pleased with him). During those days, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived from Yemen and he also had a sacrificial animal with him. He said that the Ihram I have assumed is the same as that of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had permitted his companions (upon reaching Makkah) to change their Hajj into Umrah, perform Tawaf of the House (and Sa’i between Safa and Marwah), cut their hair, and come out of Ihram, but those who had a sacrificial animal with them should not do so. Upon this, the people said, “Shall we go to Mina for Hajj in such a state that semen is dripping from us?” This statement reached the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he said, “If I had known what I know now, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me, and if I had not brought the sacrificial animal, I would have come out of Ihram (after performing the acts of Umrah).” Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) became menstruating during this Hajj, so although she performed all the rites, she did not perform Tawaf of the House. Then when she became pure and performed Tawaf, she said, “O Messenger of Allah, all the people are returning after performing both Hajj and Umrah, but I have only performed Hajj.” Upon this, he said to Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr to take her to Tan’eem and let her perform Umrah. This Umrah was performed in the month of Dhul-Hijjah after Hajj. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was stoning Jamrat al-Aqabah, Malik bin Ja’sham came to him and asked, “O Messenger of Allah, is this (coming out of Ihram between Umrah and Hajj) only for you?” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, “No, rather it is forever.”
