644 صحيح حديث سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ يُسَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِسَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ: هَلْ سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الْخَوارِجِ شَيْئًا قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ، وَأَهْوَى بِيَدِهِ قِبَلَ الْعِرَاقِ: يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ، لاَ يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الإِسْلاَمِ مُرُوقَ السَّهْمِ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ
Yasir bin Amr says that I asked Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunaif (a participant of Badr) رضي الله عنه, "Did you hear the Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم say anything regarding the Khawarij?" He replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say this, and he pointed with his hand towards Iraq: 'A group will emerge from there. They will recite the Qur'an, but the Qur'an will not go beyond their throats. They will go out of Islam just as an arrow passes out of the hunted animal.'"
