Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I was walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he was wearing a cloak from Najran with a wide border. Suddenly, a Bedouin came and pulled him forcefully. I looked at the Prophet’s shoulder and saw that the edge of the cloak had left a mark on it due to the forceful pull. Then the Bedouin said, “Give me something from the wealth of Allah that you have.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) looked at him and smiled, then ordered that something be given to him.

Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed some cloaks and did not give any of them to Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him). He (Makhramah) said to me, "Son, let us go to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So I went with him. Then he said, "Go inside and present to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that I am waiting for him." So I went inside and called the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, he was wearing one of those cloaks. He said, "I had kept this for you. Here, now it is yours." Miswar narrated that (my father) Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) looked at the cloak. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Is Makhramah pleased or not?"
