Hadith 625
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I fear most for you regarding this: when Allah will bring forth the blessings of the earth for you." It was asked, "What are the blessings of the earth?" He replied, "The glitter and glamour of the world." Upon this, a companion asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Can evil be produced from good?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent at this, and we thought perhaps revelation was being sent down to him. After that, he began to wipe his forehead and asked, "Where is the questioner?" The questioner said, "Present." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the solution to this question became clear to us, we praised that person. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only good is produced from good. But this wealth is lush and sweet (like green grass), and whatever grows in the spring season destroys or nearly destroys those animals who eat it greedily, except for the animal that eats to its fill; when it has eaten and its sides are full, it turns its face towards the sun, chews the cud, then urinates and defecates, and then returns to eat again. And this wealth is also very sweet. Whoever acquires it rightfully and spends it rightfully, then it is the best means. And whoever acquires it unlawfully is like the person who keeps eating but is never satisfied."

Hadith 626
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once sat on the pulpit and we also sat around him. He said: "I fear for you that the doors of prosperity and the adornments and beautification of the world will be opened for you." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, will good produce evil?" At this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. Because of this, it was said to that man, "What happened? You asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) something, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not speaking to you." Then we realized that revelation was being sent down upon him. It is narrated that then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped away the sweat (which would come upon him at the time of revelation), then he asked, "Where is the questioner?" We felt that you praised his (question). Then you said, "Good does not produce evil (but evil arises from its misuse at the wrong time), because in the spring season, some such grass also grows which proves to be deadly or harmful. However, the animal that grazes on greenery is saved, for it grazes well, and when both its stomachs are full, it turns towards the sun and relieves itself, and then grazes again. In the same way, wealth and property are also a pleasant green pasture, and how excellent is the wealth of a Muslim which is given to the poor, the orphan, and the traveler, or as the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said. Yes, if a person takes zakat without being entitled to it, then his example is like that of a person who eats but his stomach is not filled, and on the Day of Resurrection, this wealth will be a witness against him."
