Sayyiduna Haritha bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Give charity, for a time will come upon you when a person will go out with his wealth to give in charity, but he will not find anyone to accept it. (Whoever he goes to with the charity) will reply: 'If you had brought it yesterday, I would have accepted it, but today I have no need of it.'"

Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A time will surely come upon the people when a man will go out with his charity of gold but will not find anyone to accept it. And it will also happen that forty women will be under the protection of one man, because of the scarcity of men and the abundance of women." (Near the Day of Judgment, either the birth rate of women will increase and men will be fewer, or due to the abundance of wars, the number of men will decrease, and this has happened several times.)

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Before the Day of Resurrection, wealth and riches will become so abundant and people will become so wealthy that at that time, the owner of wealth will worry about who will accept his zakat, and even if he wishes to give it to someone, he will receive the reply, "I have no need of it." (Near the Day of Resurrection, when the earth will bring forth its treasures, this situation will arise.)
