Hadith 511
Sayyidah Umm ‘Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: We were commanded to bring out even the menstruating women and those in seclusion on the days of Eid so that they could participate in the gathering of the Muslims and their supplications. However, the menstruating women were to be kept away from the place of prayer. One woman said, “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), some of us do not have a cloak (to cover themselves).” He replied, “Her companion should let her share her cloak.”
