Hadith 502
502 صحيح حديث جَابِرٍ قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ: أَصَلَّيْتَ قَالَ: لاَ، قَالَ: فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man came to the mosque on Friday while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering the sermon. The Prophet asked him, "Have you performed (the Tahiyyat al-Masjid) prayer?" The man replied, "No." The Prophet said, "Stand up and perform two rak‘ahs (of Tahiyyat al-Masjid) prayer."
Hadith 503
503 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ: إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَالإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ أَوْ قَدْ خَرَجَ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said while delivering the Friday sermon: Whoever comes (to the mosque) and the Imam is delivering the sermon or has come out for the sermon, then he should perform two rak'ahs of prayer (Tahiyyat al-Masjid).
