Hadith 496
496 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: نَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، بَيْدَ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا، وَأُوتينَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ؛ فَهذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ؛ فَغَدًا لِلْيَهُودِ، وَبَعْدَ غَدٍ لِلنَّصَارَى
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We are the last (of the nations) in this world, but we will be the foremost on the Day of Resurrection among all the nations. The only difference is that the Book was given to them before us and to us after them. And this is the (Friday) day about which they differed. The Jews made it the next day (Saturday), and the Christians the third day (Sunday)."
