Hadith 473
473 صحيح حديث عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: شَهِدَ عِنْدِي رِجَالٌ مَرْضِيُّونَ وَأَرْضَاهُمْ عِنْدِي عُمَرُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهى عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَشْرُقَ الشَّمْسُ، وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that several trustworthy persons testified before me, and the most trustworthy among them in my view was Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade performing prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises high, and after the Asr prayer until the sun sets.
Hadith 474
474 صحيح حديث أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: لاَ صَلاَةَ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ، وَلاَ صَلاَةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: After the Fajr prayer, no prayer should be performed until the sun rises high, and similarly, after the Asr prayer, no prayer should be performed until the sun sets.
Hadith 475
475 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لاَ تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not sit waiting for the rising or setting of the sun in order to pray.
Hadith 476
476 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِذَا طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَدَعُوا الصَّلاَةَ حَتَّى تَبْرُزَ، وَإِذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَدَعُوا الصَّلاَةَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the upper edge of the sun appears, do not perform prayer until it has fully risen, and when it begins to set, then also refrain from prayer until it has completely set.
