Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that two old Jewish women from Medina came to me and said that the people of the graves will be punished in their graves, but I denied them and could not confirm what they said. Then both women left, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, two old women..." and then I mentioned the incident to you. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "They have spoken the truth; the people of the graves will be punished, and all animals will hear their punishment." Then I saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began to seek Allah's refuge from the punishment of the grave after every prayer.
