Hadith 314
314 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ: إِنَّ عِفْرِيتًا مِنَ الْجِنِّ تَفَلَّتَ عَلَيَّ الْبَارِحَةَ لِيَقْطَعَ عَلَيَّ الصَّلاَةَ، فَأَمْكَنَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ، فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَرْبِطَهُ إِلَى سَارِيَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تُصْبِحُوا وَتَنْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ كُلُّكُمْ، فَذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ أَخِي سُلَيْمَانَ (رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِي) فَرَدَّهُ خَاسِئًا
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Last night, a rebellious jinn suddenly came to me; he wanted to disturb my prayer, but Allah Almighty gave me control over him. I thought of tying him to one of the pillars of the mosque so that you all could see him in the morning. Then I remembered the supplication of my brother Solomon: "O my Lord, grant me a kingdom such as shall not belong to anyone after me" (). Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drove that devil away in disgrace.
