Hadith 310
310 صحيح حديث سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ مُصْعَبُ ابْنُ سَعْدٍ: صَلَيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي فَطَبَّقْتُ بَيْنَ كَفَّيَّ، ثُمَّ وَضَعْتُهُمَا بَيْنَ فَخِذَيَّ، فَنَهَانِي أَبِي، وَقَالَ: كُنَّا نَفْعَلُهُ؛ فَنُهِينَا عَنْهُ، وَأُمِرْنَا أَنْ نَضَعَ أَيْدِينَا عَلَى الرُّكَبِ
Mus'ab, the son of Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates that I prayed next to my father and placed my two palms together between my thighs. At this, my father stopped me and said: We also used to do this before, but later we were forbidden from it, and it was ordered that we should place our hands on our knees.
