Hadith 168
168 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا كَانَتْ حَائِضًا، فَأَرادَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَهَا، أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَتَّزِرَ فِي فَوْرِ حَيْضَتِهَا، ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا قَالَتْ: وَأَيُّكُمْ يَمْلِك إِرْبَهُ كَمَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that when any of us wives was menstruating, and in that state the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) intended intimacy, he would order her to tie a waist-wrapper (lower garment), despite the heaviness of menstruation, and then he would embrace her body to body. (Lady Aisha) said: Who among you can control his desire as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did? (That is, whoever cannot control his desire should also refrain from intimacy.)
Hadith 169
169 صحيح حديث مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ، أَمَرَهَا فَاتَّزَرَتْ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) wished to have intercourse with any of his wives and she was menstruating, she would first tie a waist-wrapper at his command.
