Hadith 155
155 صحيح حديث جَرِيرٍ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى، فسُئِلَ فَقَالَ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هذَا
Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over his socks, then stood up and prayed (with the socks on). When he was asked about this, he said: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) do the same.
Hadith 156
156 صحيح حديث حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُنِي أَنَا وَالنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَتَمَاشَى، فَأَتَى سُبَاطَةَ قَوْمٍ خَلْفَ حَائِطٍ فَقَامَ كَمَا يَقُومُ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَبَالَ، فَانْتَبَذْتُ مِنْهُ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ فَجِئْتُهُ، فَقُمْتُ عِنْدَ عَقِبِهِ حَتَّى فَرَغَ
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that (once) I and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were walking when we reached a garbage dump of a people (which) was behind a wall. The Prophet stood in such a way as any one of you would stand, then he urinated. I moved aside, but he signaled to me, so I stood near his heels (for the purpose of providing cover) until he finished urinating.
Hadith 157
157 صحيح حديث الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ لِحَاجَتِهِ فَاتَّبَعَهُ الْمُغِيرَةُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ فِيهَا مَاءٌ، فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنْ حَاجَتِهِ، فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): (Once) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to relieve himself, so Sayyiduna Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) followed him carrying a vessel of water. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished relieving himself, Sayyiduna Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) poured water over (the blessed limbs of) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he performed ablution, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiped over his leather socks.
Hadith 158
158 صحيح حديث الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُغِيرَةُ خُذِ الإِدَاوَةَ؛ فَأَخَذْتُهَا، فَانْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى تَوَارَى عَنِّي؛ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ شَأْمِيَّةٌ، فَذَهَبَ لِيُخْرِجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ كُمِّهَا فَضَاقَتْ، فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا، فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى
Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey (the expedition of Tabuk). On one occasion, he said, “Mughirah, pick up the water skin.” I picked it up. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went on and disappeared from my sight; he relieved himself. At that time, he was wearing a Syrian cloak. He wanted to roll up the sleeve to uncover his hand, but it was tight, so he brought his hand out from inside the sleeve. I poured water over his hands; the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution as for prayer and wiped over his leather socks (khuffain), then he prayed.
Hadith 159
159 صحيح حديث الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَقَالَ: أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ؛ فَنَزَلَ عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ، فَمَشَى حَتَّى تَوَارَى عَنِّي فِي سَوَادِ اللَّيْلِ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ، فَأَفْرَغْتُ عَلَيْهِ الإِدَاوَةَ، فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يُخْرِجَ ذِرَاعيْهِ مِنْهَا، حَتَّى أَخْرَجَهُمَا مِنْ أَسْفَلِ الْجبَّةِ، فَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ، ثُمَّ أَهْوَيْتُ لأَنْزِعَ خُفَّيْهِ، فَقَالَ: دَعْهُما فَإِنِّي أَدْخَلْتُهُمَا طاهِرَتَيْنِ فَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا
Sayyiduna Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey one night. He asked, "Do you have water?" I replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dismounted from his ride and walked on until he disappeared in the darkness of the night. Then he returned, and I gave him water from a vessel to use. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) washed his face and his hands. He was wearing a woolen cloak, the sleeves of which were difficult for him to roll up, so he brought his hands out from under the cloak and washed his arms up to the elbows. Then he wiped over his head. I moved forward to remove the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) leather socks, but he said, "Leave them; I put them on after purification." So he wiped over them.
