Hadith 137
137 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ، وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution should clean his nose, and whoever uses stones for istinja should do so with an odd number (i.e., one, three, or five).
Hadith 138
138 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرَ ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَبِيتُ عَلَى خَيْشُومِهِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up from sleep and performs ablution, he should blow his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the upper part of his nose.
