Hadith 110
110 صحيح حديث ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحقَ الشَّيْبَانِيّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى (فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ ما أَوْحَى) قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ لَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ
Abu Ishaq Shaibani narrated that I asked Zirr bin Hubaish about the statement of Allah, the Exalted, (in Surah An-Najm): "Then he approached and came closer, and was at a distance of two bow-lengths or nearer. So He revealed to His servant what He revealed." He said that Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, (in his original form) and he had six hundred wings.
