Hadith 92
92 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالشَّكِّ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ: (رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي) وَيَرْحَمُ اللهُ لُوطًا، لَقَدْ كَانَ يَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ؛ وَلَوْ لَبِثْتُ فِي السِّجْنِ طولَ مَا لَبِثَ يُوسُفَ لأَجَبْتُ الدَّاعِيَ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: We are more deserving of doubt than Ibrahim (peace be upon him), when he said: "My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." Allah said: "Do you not believe?" He said: "Yes, but only that my heart may be satisfied." And Allah have mercy on Lut (peace be upon him), for he used to seek refuge with a mighty support (i.e., the Generous Lord). And if I had stayed in prison as long as Yusuf (peace be upon him) did, I would have surely responded to the caller.
