Hadith 90
90 صحيح حديث حُذَيْفَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اكْتُبُوا لِي مَنْ تَلَفَّظَ بِالإِسْلاَمِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَمِائَةِ رَجُلٍ فَقُلْنَا نَخَافُ وَنَحْنُ أَلْفٌ وَخَمْسُمِائَةٍ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا ابْتُلِينَا حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُصَلِّي وَحْدَهُ وَهُوَ خَائِفٌ
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring me the names of those people who have recited the Kalimah of Islam." So we wrote down the names of one and a half thousand men and presented them to him. And we said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Our number has reached one and a half thousand, so what do we have to fear now?" But you see that (after the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) we became so entangled in tribulations that now even a Muslim fears while praying alone.
