998 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهُ (أَيِ الْمُخَابَرَةِ) وَلكِنْ قَالَ: أَنْ يَمْنَحَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ عَلَيْهِ خَرْجًا مَعْلُومًا
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not prohibit this (i.e., renting out land), but he only said that if a person gives (his land) to his brother for free, it is better for him than taking its produce.
