Hadith 918

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that (after the command of veiling was revealed) Aflaḥ (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from me (to enter the house), but I did not grant him permission. He said, "Do you observe veiling from me even though I am your (foster) uncle?" I asked, "How is that?" He explained, "The wife of my brother (Wail) nursed you with my brother's milk." Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "Then I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this, and he said, 'Aflaḥ has spoken the truth; allow him (to enter). (There is no need to observe veiling from him.)'"
