Hadith 82

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Satan comes to one of you and raises questions in your heart, first asking, "Who created such and such? Who created such and such?" until he finally says, "Who created your Lord?" When anyone experiences such a whisper, he should seek refuge with Allah and abandon that satanic thought.

Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: The kunyah of Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu is Abu Hamzah Al-Ansari. He served the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for ten years, yet never did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam scold or criticize him. He participated in several battles (ghazawat). Historians do not count him among the participants of Badr, as he was among the children and did not take part in the fighting. He narrated 2,286 marfu‘ (attributed directly to the Prophet) hadiths, of which 186 are agreed upon (muttafaqun alayh), 80 are unique to Bukhari, and 90 are unique to Muslim. He passed away in 93 Hijri.
