Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that a man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what kind of clothing should a Muhrim wear?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "He should not wear a shirt, nor a turban, nor trousers, nor a cloak, nor socks. But if someone does not have shoes, he may wear socks after cutting them below the ankles. And (in Ihram) do not wear any garment that has been touched with saffron or wars (a kind of dye)."
